Intel's Summer Splash Beach Party

Was the group coordinator for Intel's beach party Games section under Gothecorp events management on 20th Nov. Really glad I could make it for this event, getting to meet new interesting people from tar college a bunch of student from accounting faculty and some juniors and seniors of Mass commers from kdu. Having the opportunity to lead the whole team has brought back memories during my high school years. Short briefing was held, set up all materials for the games and t-shirts were distributed for the events as helpers. The whole team though consists of freshies,I have to say everyone had done a good job working together very well.
The Summer splash agenda from Shake It to Crap Walk,Push the Egg,Dodge balloons, kuaci and tug-of-war. The weather was moderate till later in the evening a sudden pour during the last event which is the Tug-of-War but helpers all were still in the grooves putting up to the heavy downpour staying on ground as the games continues on though some teams gave up rather not getting wet. Poor the emcee DJ Chan yelling here and there to get the crowd to the ground to keep the mood going on! After the whole event, everyone of us was drenched and soaked in rain water. Wow! what an experience. haha. Sadly,I had to leave early due to having a dinner show at E&O Henry butcher's event. Gail told me I'd missed having great sushi and dinner with all of the helpers. hmmp.
Thanks Gail,Albert,Madeline,Sue Ann,Rachel,Ru pei,Ms Koay,Navin,Yew Lee,Choon Eng and Penny! Nice meeting you guys! Looking forward to work with you guys again in events to come! xD *cheers

Breakage Point

When you reach a breakage point its means KIT KAT! haha Take a break.

Breakfast with Omar and Reuben no where else so landed in Kayu.
Great chance to catch up with both. Its been ages since I last contacted Reuben since back then when we're playing violin together having classes under Mark Ostyn the PESSOC conductor and also playing with pessoc.Really miss Mark since he left back to England I stopped playing in the orchestra as was busy with high school activities.Since then,I left taking classes with Bee Lee and he went to May Yoke which are veteran cello player and violin player in pesson till now.Great mentors.
Visited reuben's The CAT's Studio at pinhorn road area.Since his launching of his studio never made it there to see. Finally happened after months or a year.Admire his enterprenuer skills of running his own business now with such diversification.Omar with his photos in the studio while Reuben struting his stuff playing guitar 'working' on his lappie. haha. Anyway, good luck Reuben! Keep it up!
Thanks Omar for giving me a lift and planning this meet.Hope your photos work out! :)

Danny gave me chocolate cookies! Its awesome as ever! Never say no to his baking or cooking.haha. Drop by his place to collect it and returned his container with  his brownies given the other time. Feeling lucky and blessed.Thank you danny!
Sign up for some novel typist work at home job at least to bare my freaking expensive personal drama sessions gearing up for my audition next year. The job is pretty simple but staying at home working cuts out my social life lately apart from my crazy rehersals nightlife I had.
Learn up some basic webdevelopment html code programming with Shalen and software sharing on photo editor and more.Cool time together after both are busy to get together.Great input day plus having those crazyness that we don't get to have often.
Movie jennifer's body with dhurga and dulassi a last minute plan. Thanks for the suggestion girl since I have my one day night free from rehersals.Yay! Bump into Cik furziah and her spanish lecture heading for another movie The traveller's wife.
Bought tickets for THIS IS IT MJ show for next wed with dance friends and brother.Hope its nice. Can't wait to see him grooving to his moves on screen!

Suara Gerak

Work-In-Progress SOUND CHOREOGRAPHY
(The Choreographer Workshop Series 1 )
Meet, Share and Talk with to 2 young choreographers, Katharine Chua and Kent Tan, presenting their works on choreography inspired by sound
Initiated by Ombak Ombak ARTStudio http://www.ombakombak.blogspot.com/
Supported by School of Arts, Universiti Sains Malaysia

Have attended this contemporary dance worshop from Aug till October under the guidance and mentorship of choreographer Kent under the supervision of Malaysia's most controversial dancer cum choreographer,Aida Redza.
Kent piece which features KISI revolve around playing with the death. The theme of the discussion about relationship between aging vagrant, trash and death. Featuring the interaction between these three parties, focussing more upon sound, emotion and movement; not purely choreography work of art, instead a fusion of performing arts. The relationship between sound and body focus on emotion and passion as the linkage to generate this whole piece of performance.Whereas, the importance of the sensitivity and appreciation of life from each of the dancers can be seen through the direct and indirect impact of sound towards body movement, however by using the feeling/atmosphere as a neutralizer for the mixture of both elements; it will then strike an equal balance among all elements.Kent's aim to create movement by researching and develop us dancer/performer personal experience and observation towards the assigned subject/issue via gesture and sound projection in expression of each individual thoughts has led to the complete piece of us all.

From this workshop,I've truly gained experience what contemporary dance is all about. Its not about the steps but most of all is the natural movements from our body with the feeling and passion within oneself. How external and internal forces faced by us creates a whole different direction with our reaction towards perspective in life. The idea of having individualistic thoughts and feeling making this piece has come up standing uniquely on its own.Don't get the opportunity to see Ernie performing her full piece under choreographer Katherine but have seen some sneak peek during rehersal sessions. Admire the different kind of spirit and movement from her especially the shoulder resting and finger wrinkling part the starter of her piece.

I'm glad finally I had a chance to meet Aida Redza under her supervision and guidance after wishing to get to know her for years since high school.A dream come true.Thankful to god that I get to meet wonderful people along the workshop, made new friends and also blessed to have a great mentor,Kent.

The End of a New beginning.Wishes to all.

Spanish Film Festival 2009

Thanks Cik furziah for informing me about this event!
Its been years since I followed my spanish drama series back those days with Rosalinda,Mis Hermanas and Yo So Betty La Fea. Some familiar words rings my ear been recapitulated once again.

A short breather I took, catching the last day of Spanish Film Fest with Rohini since she's on leave for moment. The event is held in USM by the the school of languages, literariecies and translation.

We caught the film 'Un Franco 14 Pesetas' (1 Swiss Francs,14 Pesetas) on Friday which is the last day of the festival a 2 and a half hour show. Its like a biography or documentary well edited to a movie version that turns out pretty amazing.
The preview features about 2 spainiards lost their job in the economy turn down and decided to leave to Switzerland for a job after discussing what are their prospect and consequences with their respected family.Their journey there under a tourist pass to find a career in order to stay on to earn a living upon supporting their family back in Spain. Emotions evolve on the hardhip of how imigrants are treated in other natives land, the battle of communication barrier, how affairs started in relationships, culture shock, climates changes, adaption and what most significant was that HOME is where were from and most dearly missed. The unity and strong bond between family and relatives and quality of life comparitively in both countries has been a tough struggle for them in deciding to be permanent resident in Switzerland for good or residing back to their home land with no regret.

What a day! :)

Sleeping at wee hours makes you get up at noon. Mom toasted bread with cheese and peanut butter for me and had my cup of mocha for my breakfast + lunch! Didn't knew such a recipe taste great!

Get packed then headed for my hairdo appointment at sunshine area.Finding for carpark at lunch hour is crazy.Spotted a place waiting for a person to come out.Guess what?An idiot behind me racing ahead of me to get the place... BLASTED my honk at him yet he didn't want to STOP! Blasted repetitively 10 times ending the last with the longest sound!Only then he finally stopped and stared at me I return his bloody glanced! Lol. Ppl from the shoplots all came out glancing at him.
Serve him right for being a MCP!

Cracking my brains to figure out what designs every year for exams and performances is fun yet irritating. With the help of the ever ready and always creative hairstylist got my funky braided hairdo done in 3hours.Entertained myself reading through freedom and morality and also understanding human sexuality booklets.
Was hungry after then so drop by Gastronomic restaurant for a light and healthy meal before heading to gym to practice my routines in the studio. The place was vacant that time, peaceful and quite continued reading on some interesting mingling articles having to pick up few crazy and useful phrases while waiting. Legs soring back hurting after practice but on the hold was a great time alone fulfilling day :)
